And Powder Keg Coatings, they've done a lot of work for folks on here.

I have thought about doing this myself though since there's so many parts I want to do, it'd be cheaper to buy all the tools and materials myself.

Did a throttle body elbow in Mirror black today. Turned out pretty good, but I think I'll start to outgas any parts that are gonna be gloss black from here on out

i used to do it out of my garage with an eastwood hobby gun. my only tips are the better the part is prepped the easier it adheres. Coating blasted parts was way easier. When coating thinga like valve covers, i always start by trying to coat the hard to reach nooks and crannys first, by the time those looked good a lot of the flat surfacea were already mostly coated. also it made a major mess in my garage, so after a couple years i just gave up.

pretty sure if you searched on here you wpuld find my powder coating thread from years back

Thanks for the pointers! I currently blast everything I coat. Did you ever use any sort of pretreatments? I've been seeing alot of guys using zinc phosphate. And it sure does make a mess, I'm working on a way to keep that to a minimum though.

Maybe putting up some 2 by 4 planks and make a small make shift booth just for spraying could help with the messy garage part? That can be quickly set up and broke down may help with the mess? Its what my carpenter buddy's suggest doing when we paint my car outside. Hmmm This is cool, you just heat it in a small oven or old stove?

Yeah i plan to make a small booth. I'm pretty concerned about losing any more floor space in my garage so that's the only concern. I'll either build it to be collapse or somehow make it to pull up to the ceiling when not in use.

Yep, im just using an old electric oven i got for free.

You deffinetly should only use an electric
Oven from what I have read.

I've read this as well, but I'm pretty sure it only applies to small household ovens. I've seen plenty of very large gas ovens for large batch coaters. Like for instance the oven I use at a local manufacturing company for larger items is a gas oven. I think electric elements would take too long to get a 25'x15'x10' up to temp.
