lol not defending Obama in anyway or condoning the riots, but rioting is nothing new. Also a small group out of the 10k people who peacefully protested are the ones the mainstream media are reporting on. Nothing like good ol ratings.

Regardless if the kid committed a crime, another small segment of the police force are causing these issues that should not happen. Really? Driving the police van in a way that can possibly paralyze suspects? Insane if you ask me. How do you expect people to react?

Its a bad cycle, criminal commits crime, or doesnt in some cases. Cops abuse or kill the criminal, people riot.

Committing crimes was nothing new to that guy either, he had quite the rap sheet. Doesn't justify it but just saying. Also at least the media isn't showing baby pictures of this kid and making him look like an innocent teenager that goes to church every Sunday like they did with Brown. That would be the media stirring the pot...

Stop breaking the law in the first place and you won't have these problems... Unfortunately, these riots have everything to do with race, and they will continue until we either squash it, or there is an all out race war in this country.

...and the small group of rioters are making the whole black community in Baltimore look bad. Unfortunately, it only takes a few bad seeds to spoil the bunch. Any group or profession is going to have the bad, people need to use common sense in situations like these and let the laws and processes in place work.

Is that not the case in everything? A few lazy IT people make the whole profession seem like fat lazy bastards that sit around and play video games all day and drink colored Mt. Dew. A few Marines do some stupid crap to some girls in Japan and the whole force gets the blame and entire bases shut down. A few radicals do something and that entire group gets associated. Nothing new. I think a lot of people understand that and can see past the 'few'. But I also think a lot of people cannot. There will always be a few bad apples, I think it's impossible to eradicate that entirely.

It's all about race, that's why I made my first post here, I think things have gotten way worse in the last 7 years, and I think a lot of that has to do with the response from the white house. Christians are beheaded almost daily around the world, WH radio silence. A war veteran is trapped in a Mexican prison, WH radio silence. A proven criminal gets hurt or killed evading or attacking police and a DOJ investigation is launched into potential police brutality. I don't remember anything like that happening even in the Clinton years.

I agree with others that the media definitely stokes this kind of behavior, but at the same time, I wouldn't guess most of the rioters in these situations are the CNN-watching type.
