Not ghey, I promise. Crashes and passing and other awesome racing action, just no gasoline engines :)

I don't get the hatred, Hughes. The cars aren't F1 fast, they don't make awesome noises, but they do still go fast, the drivers can still drive the piss out of them and still display a quality and skilled level of racing that's entertaining enough to be worth watching.

Quality, edge of your seat circuit racing can happen anywhere, from karts to Miatas to GT3 cars to (LM)P1s to Formulas. But if you're watching for everything but the racing, yeah, I can get it being less than exciting.

Please reference mine and Shane's comments from the last Formula E thread.

Keep in mind, I also find F1 to be incredibly boring to watch on TV except for the first and last laps.

Does NASCAR hold your interest now?

I won't watch racing that involves changing cars in the middle of the race. Part of racing is driving a potentially damaged/worn/broken car.

Agreed on the pitstop method. Why not just swap battery packs? I think that would be better...or hook them up to a Level 3 (or better) fast charger...then it can [sort of] be like real racing where they have to balance time in the pits vs. how much extra fuel to take on.

I tried watching this on TV the other day and I really wanted to like it (and still do) but my ears couldn't handle the hour-long sound of dentist drills.

All those penalties are dumb.. "using too much available power", "Too short of a pit stop" SERIOUSLY!?

I don't watch any racing, just never got into it. I love the innovation these guys are promoting, just not a fan and the rules are goofy.
