Looking for spring and retainers, rocker arms, from an evo 8/9.

Re: WTB: evo valvetrain
Here's some for $55 shipped
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OeM-Evo-9-va...f8cc81&vxp=mtr Or another option to maybe consider for $70-80 shipped. This is basically what I'm running on my Lexus, you just reuse your stock retainers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brian-Crower...0ae6cb&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brian-Crower...ac13e8&vxp=mtr I got my eyes peeled watching for some cams for cheap for ya too :) I'm excited for you to get that bish in the 10's!! |
Re: WTB: evo valvetrain
That's a steal for those evo 9 springs/retainers. I've ran them on most of my high hp builds without a single issue.
In case anybody was wondering, the stock DSM retainer = 15.2g, Crower CM = 8.5g, Stock Evo 8 3.98 grams! That is weight that the spring does not need to lift every single valve event. Considering an 8k RPM pull, that's 40,800 grams or 99 pounds worth of weight the spring does not have to contend with. Great find Halon! |
Re: WTB: evo valvetrain

Re: WTB: evo valvetrain
That's what I put in my 2G head last winter, best bang for the buck out there.
