Jana 11-04-2003 07:59 AM

It does look pretty sweet! And I've never seen it done on an integra before. :D

that part of the roof is not that heavy..maybe save 30 pounds if...

but in order to keep the support of unibody he would have to add extra framing under thecar otherwise his frame will start flexing very much...

in order to replace that roof peace you would have to add a lot of underbody steal peaces otherwise over time you will not be able to open or close your door.

Jakey 11-04-2003 09:17 AM

I think it looks pretty damn sweet but definitely would be quite the undertaking!

Have you condiderd a T-Top like set up?

Goat Blower 11-04-2003 11:34 AM

There's a guy named Dre out in Jersey who's done this to his 2G DSM. It looks real nice but isn't a simple undertaking. He used the seals from a Supra Targa roof and I think the brackets as well. You'll definitely need some frame strengthening, maybe an 6 point cage or better. Everytime I jack up my car, I can see the frame flex from front to back and I already have a 5-point.

Yeah, the main structure on a uni-body is the roof. Convertables have a re-inforced floor and side rail panels to cope with the lack of a roof.

Honestly, imho an integra does not look sporty enough to get a targa put on it. Also I think the money put into a targa would be better used putting into the head/intake manifold/rest of the motor. Sorry Tyler, but I still say minus the stickers, clean it up a bit , and have a True clean show car that grabs attention from being super clean, not from stickers . Another thing, the car would be heavier like others have said due to the fact you will have to make other things to help the flexing of the frame becuase of having no roof .

I dont like it that much.

Matt D. 11-05-2003 12:32 AM

Looks too much like a Del Slo to me.
