So how about a axel that is seized into the tranny, I have removed it about 1" but it will not go ANY further. I am about to give up. I guess the only thing I have not tried is a slide hammer some how. Normaly the axel gets seized into the hub :gayflag: .
~John pics coming soon. |
What the hell are you doing cracker? You better not be waisting $$$ on the pile.
|
Happened to me too, it wasn't seized the c clip on the end was being stupid and we actually got it out by gently turning the axle and pulling outward...Worth a shot!

Well when the axel does this http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010001.JPG I dont really have a choice, besides get the talon running(note I only have one of the roller bearing assemblys left). Also.
http://lse-performance.com/library/P10100022.JPG that is as far as I can get it. http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010003.JPG with that and ALL of my weight and more on the end. http://lse-performance.com/library/P10100041.JPG now that is on big cracker wacker. http://lse-performance.com/library/P10100051.JPG cracker wacker in there http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010019.JPG more broken pry bars and what not. http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010020.JPG here is the cracker wacker in action. Anyway I have more pics, but I have no time, dam work. ~John I at least have rides. And I have tried prying at all angles, and turning with no luck. |

If you need help you should just ask. I've done these about a million times. Have you bought a new one yet? I should have at least one (if not more) of them laying around. Which side is it?
|
Have you tried pushing it back in and starting over?
|
Yes, it goes in and back out to the same point, but thats it, also if I start with it out and get the car up to 2k in 5th, about 40mph it goes back it all by itself, also when I turn the broken side the driverside turns the same direction. I am used to AWD and thought they should spin opposite? I am going to go hold the tire and see if I can spin the broken side. But I think the front diff is toasted.
Here is the passanger side floor pan, where the lower control arm bolts to the rust. http://lse-performance.com/library/P10100111.JPG And here is the driver side, lower control arm mount and the torsion bar both are about to fall off. http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010014.JPG And this is how far I have to hold the wheel to go straight. It is about 90deg to the left, but the car loves turning right, I dont need to hold the wheel to go around a clover leaf (right hand), the wheel is straight but the car turns around a clover leaf.... http://lse-performance.com/library/P1010022.JPG and all this with 69,xxxmiles...jk ~John :headache: |
