New Job!

Tomorrow will be my last day at SeeChange Health, and monday will be starting a new position as a Sr. Systems Administrator at Hollander Parts in Plymouth. Prior i hadnt heard about this company, but they are mainly a solution for auto recyclers. So essentially you go to their site, select a part for your car mostly OEM parts, then it gives you an output of all of the junk yards in the US that have the part you need, how much it is and what condition it is.
Hollanderparts.com
Quite excited for this position.
Tom

Lmao. Way to go on the new job. I am still looking for a new job out of the auto and heavy diesel mechanic field.

Interesting, I've heard of them before, but before the dot.com era. Looks like they compete with car-part.com, which I've been using for years.

Congrats Tom. Never heard of the company. At the shop we always used car-part, but I will let them know about your company.

Re: New Job!

No employee discount because we dont have any yards. To give a brief overview of the company....
We started out way back in the day, in printing what are called interchange catalogs. big books that when you say look up an engine for a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse GSX, it would tell you what other cars this would be able to be installed in. or any other part on the car. Insurance companies, auto repair places etc. used this to find what other parts could be installed on vehicals.
Skip ahead now to the internet and communication. We have a product that allows auto salvage yards to input vehicles and the parts from each vehicle, so that certain auto yards can exchange information between them, so if Joe Schmoe comes in and asks for a part they dont have, they can locate the part in another yard and get it to him. yards can team up to create larger yards, we facilitate that process.
there is also the online where we post parts on the site and people can look it up in any of our yards we service.
theres lots of other stuff we do too.
