Bad ball joint like symptoms

Ok guys so the other day I had my front end jacked up and checked for ball joint movement. I noticed that when I put my hands on the top and bottom of the tire and moved it in and out that there was a good amount of play. So today I replaced the balljoint. Tires still moves in and out when I wiggle it. Replaced the tie rod ends before my alignment about a 1000 miles ago so those are good.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Mark

I just had that same thing, although there was very little play and it didn't have the usual howl, just a light popping sound around corners. Wheel bearings have some strange symptoms sometimes.

Could be the wheel bearing but that was also replaced a couple months ago when the new hub and axle went in. Will get another and try it out since it's got a lifetime warranty.
Thanks guys

Where are you buying your parts from? Are you getting them all from the same place? Go to the store, play nice and ask them if they will cover it, or at least part of it.

I bought an OReilly wheel bearing and it was defective out of the box (howling when driving). Returned it and got a Napa one and was way better quality for less money.

You can never go wrong with OEM. Another way to check for wheel bearing is to jack up the car and have someone drive the car in the air. Feel the springs. There should be no vibration. If there is, that wheel bearing is on it's way out.

New symptom. After putting in the ball joint on my driver side the car pulls right. Only during wot. Crazy hard,

You should get the alignment checked after you put a ball joint in. If the passenger is older than the new driver side, it can be weakened and cause alignment issues.

yea i'm getting it realigned sometime this week either at class or under my warranty from the last alignment as I can tell the steering wheel is off center again. But besides that it pulls wicked hard to the right.
