Would these work on 1G, 2G, FWD and AWD?

1g only as they have a larger shaft since they are a strut car.

Awd/fwd shouldn't matter as they are adjustable height. Not sure what ground controls website says though.

AWD/FWD does matter when it comes to the actual struts. Also fwd has lower ride height.

The only thing that would matter is if the strut body had a different diameter in the back, fronts are the same from FWD to AWD. And I think the bodies are the same diameter so it shouldn't make a difference.

FWD has a lower ride height? And why would that matter with these?

Yes. It wouldn't matter with these because they don't include the strut bodies, I thought they did at first.

Fwd rear struts won't bolt up to an awd car, the lower mounts are different. My friend accidentally bought fwd complete coil overs for his awd. After the install his ride hieght was way to low and there was no more room for adjustment to raise his ride hieght. He also had to ghetto rig the rears to even bolt up at all.

I know the lower mounts are different, but that has nothing to do with collars, they simply slide over the shock and rest on a snap ring or the cut down original mount for the regular coil. The rear coils are about the same size as the coilover coils.

And the FWD's are not lower, the lower mount in the rear is different, possibly lower than the AWD mount. If I were your buddy, I would've sent back those coilovers he bought. I don't think I'd want anything "ghetto rigged" on my suspension.

They were in Fran's awd so no issue there
