WTB: Wideband
Anyone have one? I don't need a gauge, just the 02 sensor and wire.

Re: WTB: Wideband
Use the internet, they have information on replacement sensors.

Re: WTB: Wideband
Oh my bad, I didn't mean to leave you a voice mail. I must have butt dialed you.
I'll try using those forum thingies to see if someone has a used one for cheaper than I can buy a new one. |
Re: WTB: Wideband
I have. Inovative wide band.

Re: WTB: Wideband
I'll be a bit more helpful, but assuming you have a wideband already and you are just buying a new sensor you can find out what kind of sensor you have and possibly find a cheap one at a parts store.
Example? Most modern WB's use a Bosch LSU 4.1 sensor (IIRC) these are commonly used on VWs and can be had a parts stores for a lot less than most vendors. So, we would need to know your brand of WB that you have, assuming you have one. Although now it sounds like you need a WB that you can tie into some engine management. |
Re: WTB: Wideband
I got a replacement NTK sensor at the parts store for $70 or something.

Re: WTB: Wideband
Bosch 15401 is the part number. It's actually stamped with an NGK part number LZA08-H6, which is the same piece my AFX came with new. I don't think this is the newer version though that you are referring to.
Found a few places online that sell it for $77, looks like O'Reilly has it for $89 now. Edit: here is some info I found online about the 2 versions: L2H2: 4mA pump cell sensor, comes with the newer AFX units LZA08-H6: 3mA pump cell sensor, comes with the older AFX units |

Re: WTB: Wideband
Just get the wideband sensor specifically made for your gauge. There are so many versions of the "same sensor" nowdays and the wideband manufacturers are using them in different ways. An AEM UEGO sensor and Innovate LM1 sensor might be the same, but they use a different connector and the AEM is precalibrated from the factory with a resistor so that you don't have to do free air calibrations, unlike the old LM1 sensors that were just the VW sensor and require them to be calibrated in clean air. The Bosch sensors are the bottom of the barrel as far as accuracy and durability, if your wideband supports a better sensor like the NTKs then consider that. And don't buy a used wideband sensor, they are a consumable item.

Re: WTB: Wideband
Yeah, I end up replacing mine about once a year, they don't last long compared to normal O2 sensors.
