Re: 99 ecu tuning?

Yes people have, it is a very easy and cheap tuning platform. It can do as much if not more than link. Check out dsmtalk.com and the dsmtunners.com write-ups on it. Ceddy on tunners wrote tons of programming for it. the flashable ecu's are able to do so much it is insane, you just have to read.

Here are some links:

Those should get you all the info you need. Plus there are people that are continually helping on those two threads.

Re: 99 ecu tuning?

evoscan. Used that on my 99 Spyder GS-T. Fully flashable stock ecu. That's what Shane used when he tuned my car at the time.

Im already tuned on e85, but I swapped alot out and removed c.a.s. to clean head. So I need a re-tune. Is there a way to zero out the c.a.s. to know its timed right ?

Theres got to be someone local who can help me out :scared:

Re: 99 ecu tuning?

You can easily set your CAS with nothing more than a simple timing light.

Im hearing all these amazing things about the flashable ecu, but I cant find anyone local who has tuned theres, and has the ability to do so for othiers .........

Re: 99 ecu tuning?

They all bring their cars to Shane!

You should set the timing before bringing it in to get tuned anyways.

I know in link there was a box you could check to lock timing in then you just moved the cas to get it dialed in. Not sure of you can do that with what you're using otherwise I believe there is a pin on the firewall you can ground that will do the same thing.

Re: 99 ecu tuning?

If you are using the stock 99 CAS it is not ajustable. If you are using a 1g CAS ground the pin on the firewall and set the timing. What have you changed since your last tune? as long as you are using the same MAS and injectors your tune should be close enuf to drive around at low boost.
