We need more info. What turbo is currently on the car? What mods are done to the car? What are your power goals? What's your price range?

Re: Turbo upgrade

Re: Turbo upgrade

I assume by the injector size you're going to run e85?

LingLing 05-05-2013 10:37 PM

Re: Turbo upgrade

On paper 1000cc's get you in the 350-ish awhp range (on e85). But does your motor have the supporting parts?

Re: Turbo upgrade

Go holset, one of the rare times you can say "cheap and good" in the same sentence!

Hx35 should net you good powa!!!! But then you have to figure out housing (and oil feeding :) )

4seasons69 05-05-2013 11:14 PM

Re: Turbo upgrade

I would say stay away from holset. To me they just don't seem like they are worth the hassle.
How much are you looking to spend? Are you looking for a bolt on turbo or something t3 or t4? What are your power goals?

If you're looking for something cheap get an e3 16g. There are good billet versions out now too.

Pm cornfed2.4 and see how much he wants for that hta68.

If you're looking for something t3 or t4 I'd go borgwarner or precision.

+1 on the 68HTA. That's a mean little snail. And it would go well with what your injectors are capable of.

Re: Turbo upgrade

Ive never had issues with mine. And mine was as cheap as they come! Good fast spool. Tough, and didnt break the bank. 200-300$ for a large gain is always nice. But to each his own. Defiantly dont want to start a flame war

Re: Turbo upgrade

Agreed. Never said they were a bad turbo
