I have a pretty sweet trek 7000zx fs hardtail that utilizes a 6016 t6 aluminum frame, rock shox suspension, avid brakes, shimano xt components, icon pedals, and etc etc.. Dane, the 5000 hp van guy has a sweet gary fisher ha koo e koo. we are planning to ride our bikes around for exercise and because gas prices are so insanely high. we were wondering if anybody else here mountain bikes and wants to come biking sometimes on some of MN twin cities area's trails. lemme know and we can schedule something :secret:

I do a fair share of mtn biking, not as much as I wish I could though. I ride a 97 Specialized Ground Control Comp with Rock Shox in front and back, full shimano xt, and a couple other little things. You can let me know when you plan on going and I can see if I can make some extra time.

I do a little mtn biking here and there. MN river valley in south bloomington has some decent trails that follow the river. I use to go down there alot but ever since I started driving I bike less and less... its sad. Theres just no time it but Ill have to see maybe a bunch of people want to go sometime?

Woo woo! I'm pumped.

Yeah, the best trails around here are:
Mississippi trails in Burnsville/Bloomington
Lebanon Hills in Eagan
Murphy Hanrehan (my personal favorite) in Savage

So if you're in that surrounding area specifically, hit us up. :D

Wow, the day biking comes up on a car website... Never thought I would hear this one. Anyways, I used to have a '02 Specialized Stumpjumper Pro M4 (Sid, XTR, King...sold it), now I ride a Norco Torrent hardtail(rockshox psylo, avid discs...) and a Echo Trials bike(rigid, hydro rim brakes, Chris king stuff....) Anyways I live in St. Cloud try to ride down in the cities as much as possible.

As for trails, I like Lebanon hills very fun. The farm is fun, I think thats in Chanhassen somewhere(?) off CR 6 by a home depot. And I've heard good things about the riverbed, as for location I have no idea. If you feel like driving a bit further, Monticello has a good trail as does Elk River and Milaca.

If you want to get into a group ride through town check out Erik's bike shop in Dinky town on Sunday nights. I think they get together round 6ish or so and tear around the U of M campus and downtown area. I've done that a few times and we've had groups of 20+ or so riding around. Pretty fun. However, most of the Sunday night riding is in-town urban riding. I generally stick to doing stupid things on bikes which is mostly urban.

Good luck with that. Have to get a Dsmstyle ride going

I have a mountan bike as well. A 1998 or 1999, the year befor disk breaks came standard, DBR x2 27speed w/ full suspension. Bomber z.3 long travel shock up front and Fox racing vanilla rear shock. Titec seat, neck and carbon fiber handle bars. Echo j7 cyclocomputer. I put almost a 1000 miles on this mountain bike and almost 2000 miles on my other dimondback bike befor it got stolen. My parents live in wayzata, just after the start of the luce line, awsome bike path that goes atleast 30miles west, clamed to go to south dakota, and has a horse trail along most of it which is fun to ride on. Then about 2miles out by the wayzata country club there is a mix of trails threw some woods and around ponds that was awsome to bike threw, but they have closed it to bikes, because it was intended to be a walking path. So I would be up for biking with you guess, any place now that I have a car.
