Motorcycle insurance

Where's the best place to get insurance for a motorcycle? I'd like to pick up a bike soon. Also do you have to pay full coverage even through the winter season?

I go through progressive as they were the cheapest for me. Might try and find something new next year though. Most places you can put storage insurance on them for the winter which is dirt cheap

When does winter storage usually start and when does it end? Ive quoted through Progressive and Geico. Progressive was like 400 more. How much is storage usually priced?

I have Progressive, I'm 28 with a horrible driving record. Bike is a 04 CBR1000RR, I have full coverage and its only $47/month.

Although I have 2 cars with full coverage, 1 commercial truck with a million dollar full coverage, my house, boat with full coverage and shop insurance that is 2 million dollar coverage through the same agent, dont know if I get a special deal or not but my insurance is very reasonable each month.

I had full coverage on my 04 cbr 1000 and was $130 a month. its spendy because of my record and because the coverage is way better then everybody else. I had allstate and they were the cheapest. I dont have storage insurance because your bike is covered under your home owners insurance.

47/month is pretty damn cheap for a 1000cc. I was quoted about 180 with Progressive. I'm assuming because I'm a first time rider. Geico was about 140. But then again, the bike is a 2012.

I'd love $47 a month. I'm 25 with only one moving violation on my record and I pay $89 a month for full coverage on my 06 R1.

Stroage started for me when I called in October to figure out if I could put storage on it. The agent told me since I've pretty much paid all my premiums that it was only going to be $.70/month for storage and since the amount was so small they weren't going to take anything. Then insurance will start up in April/May (I forget which month) or whenever I call and want to put insurance back on it

State Farm is the way to go for bike insurance, but you have to have a car there too. I have never paid over $23/mo and I have had 2 brand new rockets, one 750 and a 1k. You can't have more than 2 tickets in 3 years with them to get on. I pay $13/mo now for my '05 1k and 1 ticket.

Make sure you read the policy. you are not covered if you crash the bike. A buddy of mine found that out when he didnt make the turn and broke his neck. He had full coverage but with full coverage you dont have medical.

$.70/month for storage?!?? Now this really gets my hopes up in purchasing the new bike!

When you guys are talking about tickets on your record, is it motorcycle tickets or car tickets as well?
