I thought the 1g 1.8 was a 4G37? Or are we talking about a different 1.8?

I beleive your engine has single cam, 4 cylinder, so dohc 4 cylinder will give you naturally aspirated more power. As long as engine mounts match you can do. I looked at a 1.8L last week and the guy is considering swaping his engine for my 7bolt. Allot of factors I am unsure even if engine mounts match, which I think they do. Your wiring harness and ecu is non-turbo, so you will need wiring harness and ecu for turbo. Your crank and cam signal is an issue. Find out where they are now. I just dont see how your not going to have to replace wiring and ecu. I am not sure this is cost effective or worth it. Your transmission will not match either. Sorry, I am not much help. Hopefully I got you to think a little about what I mentioned which may lead to some answers.

Yeah I did realize the tranny, and ecu. I guess it was just a idea that I had, (One of the many). The cost would probaly not be worth it. Thankyou all for you help!!
I should just look for another DSM.
