Who owns or works at body shop???
The guy who hit me presented a valid proof of insurance and I got a police report. Now I need to get a quote on fixing it. I don't know if I should go to one of their body shops or not and personally I don't know of any body shops that I trust. I'm trying to work this out with their insurance company - Metlife
I just want my car fixed. I wish he didn't hit me. |
Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
I used to work at Fairway Collision Center in Vadnais Heights. They use top quality materials and do excellent work. I would recommend them.

Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
Theres a place in maple grove that we send are cars to get painted. They do the best paint job that I have seen. They paint all of are high end cars. Its called collision corner. If you go there talk to kurt hes the owns. Tell him Paul from floyds sent you there. He will take care of you.

You can go anywhere that is approved, they can't tell you where to go.

Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
Update,
Metlife said that the driver of the vehicle did not have permission to drive it so they said they're not paying for my repairs. The car wasn't reported stolen or missing so I think its bs. I had to go through my car insurance and pay $500 which I might not get back and my car insurance might go up. My car insurance will pay the remaining balance and go after Metlife. I just picked up my car from Fairway Collision Center. They repaired my bumper. They couldn't get a new bumper cover and decals for obvious reasons. It's a '94, I don't blame them. They also forgot a few bolts that bolt the cover to the bumper but no big deal. I'm more upset about the decals. The paint and finish looks good so far. |

The car is insured, simply that. If my friend Al took my car and hit anything with it. I know my insurance would have me on the hook to pay the bill, unless I reported it stolen. I'd take the driver to small claims court. I had a car wash damage the bumper to my eclipse and I got a check for an OEM style bumper and paint/labor. They are responsible to bring it back to pre-accident condition. Your insurance company should give you your deductible back once they collect from the other party. |
Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
JNZ sells new decals, not sure if they have the front badge though.

Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
Yea you shouldn't have to pay out of pocket, that's BS. Do you have uninsured/underinsured coverage?

I have full coverage. I paid a $500 deductible. My car insurance company picked up the rest. The final cost was $742.10. Hopefully I get my $500 back. There is no timeline when or if I'll get my deductible back. |
Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
Also, I don't think the JNZ replica decals have the little Eagle logo by the word "Eagle" like how it does on the OEM decal.

Re: Who owns or works at body shop???
I've been busy so I just got around to putting these replica decals on. They're pretty close to the original decals. They're better than nothing. I would buy them again. Their color pops out more. I was right about the missing eagle logo next to the word "Eagle." I talked to them and they said that they couldn't do it because the logo always turns out blurry. They have no plans on making it in the future.
Before the accident http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...D/IMAG0035.jpg After the accident http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...D/IMAG0185.jpg JNZ replica decals and Fairway Collision work http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...D/IMAG0220.jpg Replica decals compared to OEM decals http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...D/IMAG0228.jpg Replica Badge compared to OEM badge http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...D/IMAG0223.jpg I didn't replace the side decals and I don't want to. I didn't replace the badge either. I'll just hold onto them just in case. The paint on the rear bumper cover matches the rest of the car very well. I can't tell the difference. All in all, Fairway Collision did a nice job, and the JNZ replica decals and badge are nice. If anyone plans on painting their car I would reccommend them both. |
