Motorcycle question.

So i got a 76 honda 750 super sport and the gas tank that was on there was all rusted on the inside and has a couple pin holes in. Just wondering if anyone knows a good way to clean rust out or if anyone does it and wouldnt mind paniting a tank! ha.

They sell kits to clean them out and seal them up.

Yup just buy a rust removal kit for gas tanks, I did the same thing on my 73 CB450 gas tank when I had to get rid of the rust. You just mix 2 solutions together and then let it sit in the tank for a while. Remove it then fill it with gas is what I remember doing.

As far as leak repairs go, I've use a guy in Anoka for fuel tank repairs. Toms Radiator Repair is the name of his shop. But honestly that Billy Mays Mighty Putty would prolly work.

We usually order up a KREEM 3 step-kit to clean and seal a gas tank. Wouldn't fill holes, but it prevents corrosion from building inside the tank.
