any one know any thing about bikes?
 

i ride an 07 zx6r and it has a cat on it. i would like to take the cat off to make my two brothers exhaust sound more mean since i cant afford the 700 bucks for headers. just wondering if i could take the cat off and not have an issue with any thing? does any one know any thing about bikes here really?

You'll definitely need a PC. I had full exhaust on my CBR and it ran UBER lean until I threw one on there. Afterwards I could physically feel the difference. It no longer struggled above 10k and got rid of all the backfiring. For the $300 get the PC. They have tons of preloaded maps included in the software you get and they're pretty good tunes. But nothing beats a dyno tune though.

If you're on so tight of a budget that you can't afford to do it right, don't do it at all :)

Otherwise hell yea get the cat out and do a PC, well worth it.

i decided to take apart the exhaust and semi gut it. getting new fork seals done at the moment. i wonder why :)

this is my first sports bike to. only hit my nuts twice so far damn u learn quick when that happends. never give a ride to some one who doesnt know how to sit on the back seat and stay!

was going to change my oil and was reading on what people used for oil in there bike. aparently you can really screw shit up if you use the wrong oil with a wet clutch system like in the zx6r any body really know what kind of oil to use?

I've always used the amsoil bike oil in my bike and works just fine for me.

no manual... theres a thought to have one ... havent bought one i was told to use mobile 1 synthetic and it will improve shifting but i dont wanna make my oil leak worse

+ a million. I use Maxim full synthetic and usually either a K&N oil filter, or a OEM Suzuki filter.
