to Apple valley and puts my Tranny Back on.

If you have not done and AWD clutch/flywheel install do not come "learn" on my car.

If you put everything back to gether I'll make the deal sweeter.

I have air tools.

I dont have time to figure this shit out myself right now.

Thanks

Craig

JustROLLIN 05-11-2004 05:58 PM

Whats different with an AWD setup that a standard transaxle? Other than the X-Fer case. If nothing, no problem, I can do it.

jd1828 05-11-2004 06:07 PM

damn too bad im still in duluth

bugdoubt2 05-11-2004 06:09 PM

JustROLLIN - main question I had other than needing help getting it back on is the rear motor mount and the teeth of the flywheel touching the starter teeth.

If you want come on down, where do you live?

JustROLLIN 05-11-2004 06:43 PM

Well I am at work until later tonight so I wouldnt be able to make it down tonight.

The teeth of the flywheel should not engage the flywheel until the key is actually cranked. The drive gear (pinion gear) on the starter is pushed out and meshes with the flywheel. Its held in place through electromagnetism until the engine starts. The pinion gear is then released from mesh.

So, the starter is as easy as bolting it back into the original holes

Thanks, I guess all I really need is some help lifting the tranny back onto the the shaft. It fell off of the tranny jack.

Give me call tommorrow whenever you feel like stopping by. However, if I get ambituos I may just do it myself tonight.

thanks

Craig

You sure about that? I did 30+ DSM clutch swaps back when I used to do that crap, not to mention how many times I've done it on my car in the last 5 years. :whipped:
