funny sound coming from turbo?
 

well my turbo started making a funny noise tonight, i dont really know how to explain the noise it's simular to screaching tires my girlfriends says, so my first thought was turbo death cry.. check the shaft play and it was basicly non exsitant side to side and there was NONE in and out so i dont think thats it for some reason.. the only think i have done to my car tonight was crush my bov. is it possibly my bov making the noise? i notice it flutters a little bit under low boost and thats it, let me know what you guys think thanks

If the turbo spins nice and has no shaft play, then look at all your hoses and clamps for leaks. You can try crushing your bov, I do not think it will help.

it's already crushed, i think i found the issue, there was jb weld connecting a nipple for my wastegate on the j-pipe, and the jbweld had cracked pretty badly and i think it was leaking like a sive so im gonna sand it all off and re weld it on and see if that fixes it

Well I fixed the leak and the noise remands I have no clue what to look at now did a blt and I still got all the same leaks and no new ones.. I also noticed it doesn't make the noise if you don't go WOT or if I breakboost it doesn't make it either which is leading me to thinking it might be something in the drive line or maybe my bov since it never made the noise untill after I crushed it

Do a boost leak test and see if its coming out of your bov.

im going to do that, and im also looking for a 1g bov i can buy or barrow to test it and see if it goes away if i switch bovs

I have a few that are not crushed. It would be nice to see the crushing of the 1g bov to stop, it does not do anything.
