Would you take my car for free under the following circumstances?:

1) You take over the loan
2) You want a 3g (no personal opinions on the 3g's please, I know they suck)
3) You are willing to take this car for free knowing it's been in an accident.

2003 Eclipse GTS with 50k miles. Purchased in Mar 2002. One owner.

It's been thus far my best looking option for ridding myself of that curse of a car.

Thoughts and feedback please...

How bad is the damage?

You got any pictures?

Raptor 05-10-2004 12:22 AM

If you still have to pay for the damn thing, how is it free?

JDM 05-10-2004 12:35 AM

After I fix it, (wheel bearings, and minor cosmetics) I will give it to someone willing to take on the loan.

Damage was moderate. I rear ended a Chevrolet Blazer Northbound Rice street at N Owasso Blvd. $6800 damage.

The car is on it's 3rd tranny :razz2:
Kalapana Black
3.0L V6 24 Valve SOHC with MIVEC (bascially VTEC)
FWD, Premium sound, Leather, Power Everything (sun roof)
AEM Cold Air, ACT 2400lb clutch, 17" Primax 6 spoke white rims.

HOLY SHIT! :secret: you got screwed ;)

This kind of transaction would be called "assuming the loan". If you owe more than the car is worth, you're "upside down" on the loan. On the good side, if the damage isn't too bad, you're asking about dealer auction price for the car. A decent deal for someone besides me. :bounce:

JDM 05-11-2004 02:30 AM

On going damage is non existant. Everything is good, new transmission, and soon to have new wheel bearings, etc.

Bottom line, I'm upside down six ways from Sunday on the car. I will be losing what I have paid on the car, but that's when I had money, so it is an acceptable loss. I don't have the means to continue to pay $600/mo plus insurance (which sucks for me).

So When I fix it, the car goes to the person with the best credit.

why does it go through so many tranny's?
i know its not the power output...

JustROLLIN 05-11-2004 06:51 PM
