anybody konw any window tint shops? i want one that offers lifetime warrenty and it should be under 180 bux for a 7.5% tint. pleaassseee lemme know if you know a shop that does good work
|
In the Rosedale area there is a shop that does custom stuff on trucks and what not, anyway there is a guy that works out of there shop. In the yellow pages he is the Tint Man, pretty cheap, lifetime warranty. He did my car and the tint is flawless, he even did the 2G back window with two pieces and not one single bubble or air pocket.
I think I paid 160 for every window accept the front of course. CRAIG |
7.5% tint huh? Cops wil make you scratch that off pretty quick.. as the legal limit is 50%. Plus at night you wont see shit.
|
i'm well aware of that thanks.
|
i can second the tint man. he did my mr2 and i paid around 140 for it. no flaws
|
Im curious why you would want that dark then if you know youll get tickets for it... I just dont see the logic.
|
my logic is that the darkness is asthetically pleasing on my car.

50% is the "legal" limit in mn.
Well Im sure it will look really nice, Id go that way if I could also... but I dont want to pay the same money it took to get the tinting done a second time in a ticket... or numerous times. :blah: |

I personally think that cops have more important things to do than try to guess what your tint % is, and you could probably squirm your way right out of the tickets. My $0.02. |
I've gotten pulled over for Tint and Ryan with the Galant has recently. They don't have anything better to do. Dark windows = free $$$
|
I think its dumb that the limit is 50% because they sell 30% at Wal-Mart
|
ok, dcblade.....
the tint % states amount of light passed thru the tint... meaning on 7.5% means only that much of the light will pass thru... so if you shine a 100lumins light bulb it will only look like a 7.5 lumins on the other side. However that is just the easiest way to describe it.. might not be the 100% correct but its good to give an example and teach you in process so you remember for later.. 0E |

I have gotten a tint ticket before and it was 50 dollars but they didn't make me rip it off for some reason. All I have to say is you are asking to get pulled over with, so don't drive drunk late at night on a weekend. During the day you are usually fine, they mostly will stop you looking for DWI's.

where is this place in Hopkins??

Well just my opinion. dont go as dark a 7.5% go 15% at the darkest thats just what I say. I got 36% and I love it its perfect if you ask me. When I was at Ziebarts they were showing me what 36% looked like on the window of the shop and i thought it was to light. He talked me into 36% instead of 15% and I'm glad he did makes night driving easier and Still keaps the sun out. and its not that easy to see into my car. I would recomend staying away from 7.5 and go with 15% you dont want cops thinkin your some homie out dealin dope. But to each his own. Your car will look great with 7.5% but shy away from it if you could.
