Brian Crower 280 cams on the Street?
Im looking at getting a Brian Crower 280 cams setup for my car and was wondering how streetable the car would be with this cam setup.
Thanks Troy. |
Re: Brian Crower 280 cams on the Street?
Big cams make the car only as streetable as you want it to be. If the rest of your car isn't a pile cheap parts and it's tuned well then it will be okay. Low RPM driving is tricky so you usually just have to be one gear lower than you normally would, keep the RPMs up and it won't buck.
I know Shane has some experience with BC cams so hopefully he can chime in. If it were me I would spend a little more on something else. |

I went from BC 272's to BC280's and I didnt loose much, if any low end and the top end is amazing. I drive my car on the street all the time. Like Matt said, I drive one gear lower then I used to now but I also have 1600cc injectors.

Get some cam gears and degree those puppies, BC is always off a few degrees.
