Exhaust rattle-used a coupe exhaust that I trimmed down to fit the hatch with a type R axle back. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...crightrear.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...icleftrear.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...12/civicvx.jpg |
Re: 1992 civic vx VTEC-E
so are you saying it only gets 35 mpg because it isn't kicking into lean burn mode? I may potentially be interested...
is the lx tranny from a d15b7? I assume its shorter gearing than the VX original trans.? |
Re: 1992 civic vx VTEC-E
The LX trans should be off a D15B7. Which are shorter geared than the VX if i remember right.
The VX's were made to get amazing gas mileage. |
Re: 1992 civic vx VTEC-E
Yes not having the 5 wire o2 sensor is causing it not to go into lean burn mode. I have a link somewhere where you can get a replacement o2 sensor for like 130. Better than paying napa like 350. And yes the lx trans is shorter geared, I bought that cause the vx trans that came with the car was locked up.

Re: 1992 civic vx VTEC-E
saw this was sold... hopefully it sold to someone who will keep running the z1 and not ruin this cars gas mileage potential by swapping it out!

Yeah this sold, some hmong guy bought it. I don't really know what his plans are for it.
