2011 Race Events
 

I wanted to start a thread centered around local events for the upcoming year so we can all start planning early. If you have plans to attend an event in the upper midwest please share the info below!

So far we have 3 main events to attend -

April 23rd @ MAP - Boost for Boobies

June 25-26 @ BIR - 3rd Annual MAP Proving Grounds

July 16th @ BIR - New Event for 2011! We haven't dialed in the event name but I would like to incorporate local grudge matches / forum wars and an import vs domestic face off

The 2011 ChumpCar National Chumpionship

It would be awesome to get a bunch of people to BIR to cheer us on during the races and party during the off hours.

NQS Performance doesn't have their autox schedule up for Marshalltown, IA yet, but I'll definitely be making multiple events there this year.

Do you know yet what events will be taking place at the Proving Grounds this year and what the drag car classes will be?

Honestly we thought last years classes were pretty competitive, did you have something you'd like to see changed?

No, the drag classes seemed pretty good last year, just wondering if anything was changing. Will there be drifting, auto-x, and high speed auto-x again this year?

i cant speak on behalf of the drifting, but as for the auto-x and High-Speed Auto-X (HSAX), we'll be using the SCCA classing system this year.

I assume the July 16th event won't include any sort of track portion, as it will be in use by the Chumpcar race? Drag only?

Yes we have the (HSAX) Road Coarse on Saturday ONLY this year. There will be Auto X and drifting in the same location as last year on both Saturday and Sunday.

July 16th will be a drag racing only event, should be pretty cool to watch some chump car races and beat on some muscle cars all in one day!

Cool, everyone should come check out how much fun Chumpcar is and get infected by the sickness!
