'03 BBY Evo
Went and picked up my evo last night in Moorhead and couldn't be happier so far.
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4971526_n.jpg Not a whole lot done to it and I don't really plan on doing anything crazy with it. I got a little carried away with my 2g and weight and trying to push the power limits which ended up pushing my pocket book and not being able to enjoy the car. MODS: full exhaust (including o2 housing)-megan racing full hard intercooler piping- buschur licp & injen uicp BOV- greddy full air intake- hks pipe w/ k&n filter mbc- halman set @31 psi on E85 walbro 255 fuel pump - might throw my boost a pump on it for shits and giggles FIC 950cc injectors AEM o2 Wideband AEM Boost gauge - Will be swaping it out for my 5 bar AEM gauge from my eclipse HKS turbo timer ARP headstuds ACT heavy duty street clutch SS Clutch line- Russell Konig runaway wheels (gunmetal grey), wrapped in toyo proxies - might end up selling these OEM Enkei wheels with blizzak snow tires Short shifter of some sort Sweet (aka cold) metal shift knob Gangsta lights that illuminate the pedals Looks like 35% tint? Future mods: Maybe a bigger turbo? I liked the little bit of lag on my dsm for daily driving Cams sooner than later Lower it after the winter Some new tail lights, can't decide which ones to go with yet but don't like the stock ones It was tuned by Ron at RS and put down 342 whp / 368 wtq on his dyno. I'm hoping to have Shane look at the tune and get it on his dyno. Maybe pick his brain on if it is worth it to do speed density on a daily driver Evo. Probably wont be updating the thread alot but thought I'd share my new purchase which I'm super pumped about. |
Re: '03 BBY Evo
Wow, how much did you pick up this gem for? Looks pretty mint for an 03.

Love the color! How many miles?

Re: '03 BBY Evo
Nice pickup! BBY is a cool color, you dont see many of them.
|
Re: '03 BBY Evo
Agreed! Good decision on the color :)

Re: '03 BBY Evo
Thanks!
Paid $14,100 for it with 74,xxx miles and the kid was asking $15,500 for it. KBB was around that 14k mark and this has most of what I was looking for mod wise anyways. Not a hell of a deal but good enough for me. Getting to work today was a lot more fun than it was last week! :D |
Re: '03 BBY Evo
love that BBY color. Evo looks awesome with the snow! Must be pretty gangsta to have them lights so you can see the pedals yo! lol. very nice!

Re: '03 BBY Evo
Woohoo! Congrats man! IMHO GSC S2's or nothing else, and do a set of their 5039 beehive drop-in springs at the same time. I ran hks280's and kelford 272's and they were both dandy, but the S2's are the latest and greatest. Check out our $100-at-a-time thread for more simple but effective modding ideas!
Looks like a great base for a great car. Just enjoy it and DRIVE IT! |
