WTB: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensors off 1g

pretty sure they're the same 1g/2g, I'll double check. But I need the lower one and the upper one. Upper is the one on top of the thermostat.

I was told to try the lower one first, so I'm gonna do that. Thanks :)

1G & 2G seem to read different on the one for the gauge.

the gauge reads accurate, I'm wondering if the sensor on the bottom is the sensor for the gauge, being it is always in contact with the engine coolant, where as the top sensor is in contact when the thermostat opens?

Re: WTB: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensors off 1g

There should always be engine coolant on both sides of the thermostat, but the coolant on the engine side should be hotter then the radiator side until the thermostat opens. The 2 wire sensor below, which is next to the single wire sensor is the engine coolant temp sensor for the ECU, the single wire sensor is for the temp gauge in the dash. The 2 wire sensor on top for the 1g is for the 2nd radiator fan, which is for when the AC is running, or the temps get hot enough to trigger the 2nd radiator fan.

I should have a few extra coolant temp sensors for both the gauge and ecu for a 1g, let me know if you need one.

I replaced the sensor, no change, I'm thinking the wiring is bad, so I followed it up to the intake area, I'm just gonna wire a new connecter on. And hopefully that solves my issue. Once it gets started she purrs like a box of kittens, it's just that it takes 12 cranks to get lindsay to fire up. Sent you a PM too.

I'd put my money on the fact that it isn't causing the problem you're having.
