persay what would happen if you took a car like my 3g
4g64 and threw 450 injectors on it running 111 without tunning how terrible would it run? and would there be any power gains??? and what could go wrong?

What do you mean 111? 111 octane gas?

Anyways it would run like crap, ruin the plugs, and lose power. More fuel doesn't give power.

With more fuel you will need more air to make power, and vice versa. Gains without tuning will most likely be insignificant, if it even runs decently after putting in bigger injectors.

Man you got it good, I paid to buy the same block that is already in your car! Turbo that bad boy then add some bigger injectors!

yeah i love the sohc, boost will be added some day. just going to do the girlfriends car this summer and hopefully mine next summer.

Iwas just curious about the injectors and tunning my guesses were damn close to what would happen i just wanted to confirm it.

Throw a 2g DOHC head on it and you would have something really nice.

Valve reliefs = different. He would need pistons too.

I don't believe so, I have heard of more than few guys running DOHC 4G63 heads on stock 4G64 lower ends...

I assumed he would do that. ;)

The 4G64 found in the 3Gs are not the same as the ones in the 2.4 2G NT Spyders and mid 90s Galants. The tranny is on the driver's side.

OOOOPS. then use the EVO8 head. :goodluck:

hey Vicious we are actually looking into that, myself and Mr. Raced might go halfzies on a totalled evo, only thing not fucked up in the wreck was the rear end the turbo and the head, everything else looks like a pop can that was run over by a semi. but we will see how that turns out and what the final price adjusts out to be.

2003eclipse 05-06-2004 09:51 AM

would the evo 8 head bolt right up to the 4g64 block???

There is an Evo currently being parted out on Tuners by some guys from Waterloo.
