It should work, but thats a little on the tall side. Might be a good thing for you being fwd an all.

Ok sweet, I think Im going to just run them on the street because when I race I plan to put some bigger tires on the back end and smaller on the front end. Since Im going to try and run street tires at the drag track for the Wednesday night street drags in brainerd and with the new engine build that Im planning on doing, I should be putting about 400hp to the crank. So Im gonna see how well I can run on street tires.

That doesn't make any sense to me at all.

If u are just talking tires, then you would want a taller tire up front. Most run a smaller up front to fit a taller slick.

It sounds like u are just running normal tires if so I'd run taller fronts then rear.

See I have heard that running bigger tires in the back pushes all the weight of the car to the front, which makes the car have better traction because the weight is on the front tires.

Im not sure what route would be better because I always hear mixed thoughts lol

I run 225/50/16s on my TSI 2g

215/55/16s where my old ones

As far as my research goes your good on both those size tires up to 18''s

215/50-17 is the stock size on 97-99 GSX's. I run 245/45-17, a little taller and a lot wider.

For FWD you'd want the taller ones in the back if anything, to keep weight on the front end. Like for suspension how you would lower the front, or raise/stiffen the rear.

wouldnt it matter if your fwd or awd though there will be no pushing anything to the front if your fwd your pulling . . . no matter what . . unless your driving in reverse.
