New Ride :)
3 Attachment(s)
Just bought this thing yesterday, kind of fell into my hands so to speak (usually when the best deals do). The boat is in immaculate shape, the only thing that is wrong (which is minor) is one of the clear plastic windows on the cover has a hole in it.
It is a 1990 Celebrity 199SE Cuddy with a 5.7L Merc/Bravo One Drive The boat market right now is really tough, people can't give these things away, this boat books at $6200 without a trailer and I got it with the trailer for $2000 :) I actually feel bad for the people because they just couldn't sell it, a dealer offered them $2000, so that is what they sold it to me for, they said they would rather sell it to me for that than a dealer. We have a 30' Wellcraft Cuddy as well, but that thing is so big it stays in the Mississippi all year; this boat should trailer around pretty good. So watch out Brandon and Peter cause I'll be invading your waters this Spring/Summer. |

Re: New Ride :)
Yeah like I said it was a steal to say the least; my dad said when I showed him a picture and told him about it "So you bought a trailer with a free boat attached huh?". Because that trailer alone is worth around 1700 dollars.
And yeah Peter its very clean for its age, the interior is original and its like brand new, the carpet is the same, the wood is like new, the controls are like new. It goes to show if you keep a boat covered very well or inside they will last for a long time. Leaving them outside not covered very well will just make them fall apart. It needs a good buffing and powerwashing when Spring comes but other than that, just going to change the oil, lower unit lube, clean spark arrester, new prop, and off I go! |
