Nick and Brownman were helping me swap fuel pump assy's last night and found this in the gas tank. WTF?

Hahaha wtf is right! How did that get in there? Unless it climbed into the filler or a vent hole, or during production, I cant see how it would.

The car had a Wally 255 in it and has been stored for five years, so it must have gotten in when the pump was installed. It's definitely been in there a while, it was stiff and well preserved.

This was straight old pump, the E85 is sitting in my gas tank, this was the parts car.
