evap canister
 

hey im wondering about all my emissions stuff. i know i can delete them. and i have a vacuum line diagram. but when it comes to the evap what do i have to cap? and does anyone have anyone have pictures of them doing this? is it worth deleteing all the vacum lines?

I pulled the canister and valve out of my old Talon, capped off the vapor line and all the vacuum lines leading to it (left the solenoid in place), never got a CEL.

Remove everything EGR related, lines and solenoids, put a block off plate over the EGR port and let er' buck. You'll have to cap the lines by the gas tank and on the intake manifold and put a breather filter in place of the PCV valve. Follow the vac diagram

if you want the check engine light to go away you'll have to get a scanner to disable the EGR system so the computer ecu doesn't even look for it on start-up

I believe your engine will run cooler with EGR deleted and what not and you'll need 1 degree cooler plugs too, but this is if you delete the entire system.

Take a hose an run it from the gas tank evap line that went to the evap canister to underneath of your car around the stearing rack on the passenger side by the back steering rack bolt. Thats what I did, don't cap it off or let it leak into the engine bay.

I know you have a 2g but I'm not sure you need to get rid of the PCV valve, I didn't on my 1g.
