Just about everything. It's a $100k car these days. It has the AMS 900x turbo kit, which I believe is a 6765.

His modlist is on his website:

Yeah, he mentioned when he posted the video that his brakes were well worn that day.

Yeah I just went and checked his website he listed on the video. Lots of money in that sucker it looks like! Sweet looking car for sure.

Could be well over 100k, some of those JRZ coilovers are over $10k by themselves.

The ones that he has are. His new dogbox transmission was five-figures alone. He's sponsored so it's hard to put a dollar value on a car like that.

AMS gets $20k just in parts for the turbo kit & supporting mods (you provide the stock car and labor is extra).

That was a good lap especially considering he was just using it to warm up some new tires. I wonder what his best lap is there.

That car is flat out beast, I would love half that power and my X to weigh as much as his....his car is so damn light, its awesome.

188 is no joke, haha.

Yeah, the one time I was on the long track I was taking it easy because the car was not 100%. I only hit 130. I tell you what, though, that turn leading into the main straight can be scary. You're basically flat-out in 3rd and heading straight for the announcer's crows-nest. It's one of those "I trust my tires...don't I?" moments.

You take that turn flat out? I have to brake heavily for that turn and ease onto it going through. When I saw you there in June/July, I actually gave it too much gas and ended up spinning in that turn.

There is a lot of room after the turn so I was never really worried about the tower.

AWD + Evo X computer help ftw? lol

I doubt he takes it as fast as he can, but the X is pretty good at that type of a turn. Gates in the video looked like he was already moving pretty damn quick into that turn.

No, I hammer it the moment I'm lined up. It's basically doing a down-hill 3rd gear pull.

I took it too hot once and puckered big-time. I've never shut the traction control off so the car is always straight but it will slide!

I only got 1/2 dozen laps in on the long course. I was throwing a front o2 CEL every couple of laps and would came in to check it. I also had some knock on that turn once and slowed down. meh. Hopefully the car is running well on Monday and I can get some more laps in.

That thing is a beast! I'm doubly impressed that it's got the full stock dash, or at least what appears to be a full dash. :D

You must not have seen this part of the track before. There is a straight just before that turn that is 2100ft. See a map of the track at the link below (between 9 and 10). I doubt there are many people (if any) who can take that turn WOT (awd, exo x, or not...) if they have been on it since the last turn. The only way they could do it is if they weren't carrying much speed coming to the end of that straight or if they went WOT in turn 10 after slowing down (like Mike said he did).

http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Brain...tional_Raceway

Would be nice to be able to see that thing from the tower going 188 on the straight. I am suprised he was able to do it considering he coasted/braked the last 1/3 of it. I would think he would be able to go 200 if he stayed in it a bit longer. Maybe he would have if he had better brakes.

If I remember correctly he was talking about being out of gear at 188.

Yes sir, that's how he is geared. He gets there quickly, though. Superbikes run about that same speed on AMA weekends.

Gates did a 1/4 mile run with a soft launch and still ended up with one of the fastest X's so far (137.6mph). As Dave mentioned, the car is seriously lightened...they consulted Mitsu engineers and torched away a lot of metal.

Best lap at BIR (long course) was in the 1:36.8.

Check this vid to see the car hit the corner a little harder -

It's a stock dash...but without a few things underneath haha.

Correct, 188mph at 9,500rpms. Could go faster....haha

And regarding the cost of the car...it's hard to put it all together into one figure. Like mentioned up there, sponsors have really helped out with the car...but it's not like it just happened. I had to 'invest' (haha) a significant amount to get things started with the car back in early '08. All worth it though, the car is turning out pretty badass and fun!
