I'm just throwing a quick FS ad up to see if anyone is interested in this car. I don't have the time or effort to keep the car though I really want to.


Quick rundown:
1997 (first year of new look for sc's, last year for the good 2jzGE) SC300 Black with Black Interior (Rare)
5 spd CONVERTED (doesn't matter, its still a 5 spd)
Pioneer DVD/Navi /Rockford Sub/ etc...
LS400 Big Brakes w/ cross drilled/slotted rotors
HID fog/lowbeams
18x10 Rota Grids +15 offset all around 225/40 245/40 tires less than 3 months old
Just painted a few months ago (black just like original color - it has clear coat though (original Lexus Black has no clear)
Blitz Nur spec axle backs w/ exhaust leak / hole for o2 bung that needs to be plugged (I am told, I haven't actually looked yet)
some 6 puck clutch
Tein HA coilovers
miles: lots, but if you know anything about 2jz's, they will run forever and ever. 265k

Price in mind since I don't HAVE to sell it, just strongly thinking about it. $8k (don't like the price? meh)

How much do non-yellow headlights cost?

How capable are those 5 spd N/A trannys? Blow up around what HP? 400?

New Headlights are about $250-350 from Lexus a piece I think. Mine aren't THAT yellow, they all will yellow and all you can do is keep polishing them.... :-/

the W58 in it will be good from 4-500whp, but its 3rd gear that usually shears from tq/power/whatever.

They don't look yellow to me. The lights are on in the first pic.

They have a 'tint' of yellow that is really only noticable when you compare to the glass high beams. Some older SC's have plastic highbeams too so they arent that noticable once they start yellowing even after you buff/clean them.

I saw a trick that my uncle used and it works to make it not have the yellow headlights.. But it only works if the yellow stuff is on the outside not on the inside. use turtle wax on it like your waxing your car and let it sit till it drys out. Then put gasoline on a cloth and wipe the wax off.. It'll look like new after your done with it..
