the mods that were done to the car when i bought it were intercooler, turbo timer, Super-AFC, fully customized exhaust, K&N intake, downpipe, testpipe, boost controller - im thinking about buying a new clutch, short shifter, cam gears and pulleys, am i going in the right direction or should i be looking at like intake manifold and other hp increasing mods? any input is helpful at this time! :3gears: :dsmrule:

Cam gears are really unnecessary until you're putting down serious power with aftermarket cams. Stick with the OEM crank pulley. What kind of intercooler do you have? It's time for you to look into upgrading your fuel pump, injectors and the turbo before anything else. A better clutch will never hurt.

You forgot the Dejon 1/2 intake pipe. It is a GReddy small FMIC. That clutch was replaced at 60k so it really isn't needed yet unless you start putting down some serious power. If you care, it's AHP exhaust with a Hooker muffler.

EGT gauge, fuel pump, injectors, and then get rid of the stock turbo. Suspension would be another route to consider.

Stock turbo should be the first thing to go on any 2g. Even a 14b is a worthwile upgrade. You should do turbo, injectors, fuel pump, pocketlogger, and get some tuning done. Don't buy a clutch unless you need one yet. As far as the 60k miles, the milage doesn't matter too much. A stock clutch can hold for 150k miles while my stock clutch slipps horribly after a year of driving. Mods throw the milage out the window. What are your goals for the car?

The clutch is fine.

Do the timing belt.

The last time I checked a timing belt wasn't a mod ;) . Should be done or checked anyhow though. I just re-read you post. You are in no need of a sheet metal intake mani. If you want to upgrade, a 1g will sufice for a while until you get a fmic, cams, and all the other mods to make power. Is your car a 98 gs-t like you name?

Super strong Timing belt like KEVLAR, would that be a mod, like an ACT clutch would be to a stock clutch?

There has got to be some way to conver to a timing chain and screw the belt...

Kracka 04-30-2004 11:23 AM

The timing belt is fine too, it was replaced by Mitsu at 60k along with the clutch. You should remove all the emissions systems though, they are costing you a few ponies since it is a CA car.
