At the end of the summer im looking to put a new big turbo upgrade into my gst and im wondering what u think is the best to get, i dont care about price, just what u all think is the best - also has anyone ever tried to do a conversion from a GST to GSX, what i mean is has anyone ever made there car start as FWD and convert it into AWD? im trying to figure out if i could do it, im interested :3gears: :dsmrule:

Not trying to be a jackass, but the most common conversion is selling it and buying a GSX. Just my .02 cause it'll save you headaches.

"TKRPerformance" on here has conveted his Spyer to AWD.

I also did the FWD to AWD conversion but I bought a GSX and then swapped everything over to the GSX including motor, etc.

Oh ya as for turbo - Do all the supporting mods and then go Huge. 60-1 or bigger.

I swapped to AWD because everyone was all about going from a Stop, etc which would kill me. But I owned all from a roll.

Well now a days there's very few place's where we can go from a Stop so now it's all from a roll. (bastards!!!! why couldn't you all have just gone from a roll to start with and saved me all this headaches!!!)

FP3065 OR BIGGER........My 3065 spools way faster than my HRCSuperShitty20G.........and can make power too!

Trade in the GST!........"You're goanna' have a bad time.....OK"

For the setup of the car, a Big 16G or Big 28 would do quite nicely. The GST will be just fine for street-driving. The only real downfall to FWD is at the drag-strip.

I rode in a 2G with a 54-trim and the car just did not feel strong at all, same with the 57-trim I rode in. Oh well...

My car had a 54-trim in it.

As far as best turbo? TD05H 20G?

Nevermind about the 54-trim comment then...Shane's was quite fast. I guess the other one just wasn't tuned properly then.

20G? Nice.

My first turbo was a small 16G, way back in the day paid like $650 for it from Archer Racing. now have a big 16G, I love my FWD, its light and you have less to fix, plus you can pull the parking brake in snow to pull the ass around. :jammin:
just get the wheel hop and torque steer under control. :3gears:

What are your goals for the car (ie 1/4 time, hp, trap speed)?

you can pull the ebrake momentarily in a gsx too -- takes a second for the VC to lock and cause you any problems

Enes 04-30-2004 10:36 AM

In a gsx you do not need to do any breaking to get the car to whip a quick shittie. All you have to do is give it some gas :3gears: . The ebrake is a way for FWD to try to have fun in the snow. With FWD, it is almost the easiest to do them in reverse like a retard. You will look stupid but it will work better.
