*** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
I'm really upset at the moment and need your help.
Never thought I would ever have to deal with something like this. But Sunday (07/18/2010) a climate controlled facility was broken into (21 units total) and I had some very expensive and sentimental gear stolen. I'm passing this along to everybody I know in the hopes that it may help. Please pass it along to anybody who can help. This happened in Walker, Louisiana. Near Baton Rouge/Denham Springs area and Hammond, Louisiana. Please keep your eyes and ears open. I'm sure I don't have to say which of these guitars is the most important to me. 8 Guitars 1 Amp http://lh5.ggpht.com/_Zn5uDOE-S5Q/TE...s%20011crp.jpghttp://lh6.ggpht.com/_Zn5uDOE-S5Q/TE...s%20020crp.jpghttp://lh3.ggpht.com/_Zn5uDOE-S5Q/TE...s%20024crp.jpg 1957 Gibson Les Paul Special (was my father's guitar) TV Yellow, ding on lower horn/cutaway, chip on back of guitar neck Aftermarket bridge, original in the case along with Black Diamond string boxes, no longer made Brown Gibson case, pink interior color http://lh5.ggpht.com/_Zn5uDOE-S5Q/TE...800/009crp.jpg This is another pic which shows the ding on the lower horn. Oh man.. sorry to hear, Vicious. I search craigslist for used dj equipment frequently, I'll keep an eye out. Maybe try checking your local craigslist too for the fuckers who might be trying to sell the equipment. Music equipment is not cheap, not to mention the sentimental value which can't be replaced. Hope you find the fuckers and make them pay.

Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
Wow, unbelievable. My heart sank when I saw the thread title because I knew it was something like this. :(

Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
Wow, that really sucks man :( I've been fortunate enough to have never lost any equipment, but I know people who have and it's really shitty. I really hope you get them all back, and if not hopefully they're insured. Even though that does nothing for the sentimental items.

Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOT THE 57!!!!
DUDE My heart is in my throat right now, that sucks soooo bad. I'm sorry man. |
Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
:'( no way dude. From one musician to another, I damn near feel like crying because of this. Not just the money value, but the sentimental value with some of these guitars. This is just horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Have you called all the pawn shops around the area asking if they've seen anything? |
Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
oh my sh|t.... I'm sure you've posted this on mylespaul and harmony-central and the mesa, tele and other forums right???
|
Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
Vicious, i would use CrazedList.org and do searches for the equipment every day to see if something pops up on one of the other states lists. Eventually you may get a good hit. Best of luck.

Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***

Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
Did the place have insurance? Even though they can't cover the sentimental value..
for the record me and a friend are posting this on as many national musician forums that we are on, good luck in the search. |

They say they only have insurance for the building, but not people's contents. If I don't get my stuff back I'll hire a lawyer and do what I have to. |
Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
^ That's bull shit. Shouldn't they be required to have that insurance? Did they make you sign a waver or anything when you leased the space?
I'll PM you some links to where we posted threads so you can check up on them as well. |
Re: *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT *** STOLEN MUSIC EQUIPMENT ***
They all say it's up to you to have insurance, which you have to go out and get..
