2g MAS Issues in a 1g...I think
 

Car was sputtering randomly and now barley idles at all and misfires pretty badly and i am trying to narrow down the possibilities as to why. It feels like a sensor/ wiring due to the randomness, but i checked all harnesses and wires and found no issues.

Thought my MAS was goin out, so i got one to swap in for testing and it got the car to idle smoothly, which it was not doing before, but now has no throttle response. Wondering if there is a difference in 2g MAS's and/or what what cause the different symptoms when they are swapped.

That one might not have specifically been out of a dsm (can't remember). It should work the same though. I could take the one off my car if someone says that one wouldn't work correctly. Let me know after replies from others.

Its just strange that with one it wont idle but it will rev, and with the other it bogs before it revs but it will idle.

Does anyone know about this kind of stuff?? Could really use some advice.

The check engine light on with either?
