Draining gas

How do you drain gas out of the tank? I'm looking to use e85 and need the old stuff out.

What kind of car? Some have drain plugs on the gas tank, some don't. If it doesn't ahve a drain plug, you can usually put a hose on the FPR return and let it pump the pump out while idling. But if the car has a split tank like a 2G DSM AWD, then the siphon system won't work if the stock return line isn't hooked up and you can end up with one side of the tank empty and the other side still full. Worst case you can open up the top of both sides and siphon the gas out from above.

Oh, I remember doing this on the GSX we picked up. Take the fuel pump assembly off and get a siphon into the tank.
