I don't know if most of the people on here know who I am, or follow my threads so I will start with a little bit of background, then post a bunch of pics. :)

Last year around this time, the car was my daily driver, running low 10's on stock engine/head/ecu/maf, 35r kit I built, fp4r cams, 3" exhaust, e85 ect. Nice fun setup for sure. Mid summer I was racing the car at a event here in town, and the shaft on the 35r broke in half during a pass. Talk about a loud smokey mess! :lol:

I got a bad case of "while your in there" And decided to build a whole new turbo kit, port the head, and do drop ins, I bought a 6262, crower rods, and weisco1400hd pistons and got to work.

I got everything up and running, and it hammered a rod bearing out in about 40 miles. Not sure why really, but I guess **** happens and thats how you learn. I sold the 6262 setup to a good friend of mine and took a break from the car for a while before I set it on fire. :cool:

After a break, I pulled the engine and went back to work, the crank was ruined, so I picked up a manley crank, Crower (GREAT customer support btw!) recond all 4 rods and sent new bolts. I had a local engine builder do the machine work/assbly this time. Everything turned out great, and the ptw clearance worked out well after a fresh hone to resuse the std bore weiscos.

The setup is now, fresh shortblock, same ported head, fp5r cams, kiggly springs, map head studs, billet 6765. I plan to stay e85 and stock ecu. I am in the middle of building a new turbo kit for this one, foward facing this time. They are just to baller not to have one. {thumbup}

I had my man Ron Shearer send me one of his garret based 4.5" fmic. I added the mounting tabs where I needed. Thanks Ronny!

This pull was 41-42psi peak, settling at 39.x thur the pull. Its hot and humid as crap today. I ran the car with the little air filter ON the car still. I don't plan to pull it unless I am at the track.

I was pretty freaking stoked after this pass went back up to the lanes after a peice of square pizza from the consession stand :)

I got a little happy on the 2step and blew the tires off pretty bad, smacked the limiter quite a bit before I shifted to second, as I got back on the throttle the car was really loud, I short shifted 3rd for some reason, then decided to run it out. That killed me as it hurt the 1/8 for sure. I guess on the limiter it blew the rear section of the exhaust off, the muffler and a small peice of pipe.

The next pass I blew the tires off, off the line, and missed 2nd gear. The car blew the tires off when boost hit in 2nd, the track was going away, still went 11.0 @ 145 missing 2nd :)

Ryan broke the tob clip on his car on his pass, so I stopped racing, let him use the trailer to get home and drove my muffler less car home!

I really wanted a 9, but I am happy with how she ran.

All runs where on 41.xx peak boost setting to 39.xx thur the gear. With the small air filter ON the turbo. Still lots of power left for sure. Last time I weighed the car it was 3340 in "race" trim. I raced it tonight just like I drive it on the street.
