What type of car? What will these tires be used for?

cudvig 04-25-2004 06:50 PM

just to get some better traction, on my 240sx

i just got some kumho ecsta supra 712s on and i love them
staw away from the 711's btw.

The Kumho 712's suck. I take it you are looking for track only since you had the victoracers and hoosiers in there? I have heard the hoosiers are the shiznit right now. Neither would work on the street though.

Cum-Ho's....bad girls, bad tires.

JET 04-26-2004 02:51 PM

That is not true, the V700's and MX's are good tires. The 712's, 711's, etc suck though.

We just discussed this yesterday at the mayhem meeting.

I believe there is a new street/Drag radial that actually hooks up better then full out slicks. Tyler or Carey who was at the meeting yesterday can you chime in more.

They haven't been released yet but are expecting to be available at the end of May early june.

Could someone elaborate on exactly why they hated the Khumo (Cum-Ho hehe) 712's? No traction? Bad treadwear? I've heard alot of contradicting opinions on them and was wondering if someone could elaborate. I figure anything's gotta be better than the Nitto 450's I have currently.

Just so I contributed something to this thread and didn't hijack it completly.... I don't recommend Nitto 450's, they had some crappy azz treadwear :)

yokohama avs 100 hook up pretty well at a good price.
