Clutch help

95 talon awd 5 sp.
Stock tranny
stage four comp 6 puck
New tb and I beleive resurfaced flywheel

The issue that I'm having, is after driving 100 or so miles the clutch wants to slip. So the solution for now is bleeding my clutch every night. After bleeding clutch everything is back in order, clutch engages is close the the floor and is soft again. Then after 100 miles, clutch get hard and engages near the top, and that when it slips. Car is currently only running 18 lbs of boost, if that matters and only slips really under boost. I've researched other threads and came up with nothing. If you needore info on the car or conditions of driving let me know.

Thanks in advance

Re: Clutch help

Sounds like you need to adjust your clutch if everything was installed correctly. Try searching for pedal pump up on other dsm forums.

Also search youtube for how to adjust a clutch on a 2g. Jacks transmissions made a really good video with a step by step way to properly bleed your clutch.

Yea, it sounds like it just needs to be adjusted properly. The 2Gs and Evos do this when the adjustment it too far out of wack.

Yeah, I just read on RRE pedal pump. Sounds pretty close to what happening.

Re: Clutch help

So there needs to be a little play at the
bottom and a little play at the top. Should I adjust,
After I bleed it.

Re: Clutch help

Adjust it so the clutch engages around the middle of the throw.

Re: Clutch help

This is probably it, I adjusted the clutch pretty far out not much rod left.

Nick, back that thing out quite a few turns. Then bleed the system and see where it engages.

Nick also readr about the pedal pump up issue on road race's site again. I can help you with this over the weekend if you want.

Re: Clutch help

I read it again were you making a refrence to the crankshaft bearings and how I shouldn't be driving it? Or this just might be the problem all in itself sounds pretty much, what I decsribed to you? On a side note, no vw guy is gonna scare me again;)
