Feeler: MitsuStyle Dinner Club

Last week when we were at Blue Door Pub having some burgers we started talking about other restaurants that have good food and we all had either been to places we liked that others hadn't been to, or knew about places we'd like to go to. I mentioned to Peter about possibly meeting up once a month as a group and go somewhere nice that we ourselves wouldn't normally go. Do it on a Friday or Saturday night. Doesn't have to be every month, though somewhat regularly would be ideal.

I'm looking to organize a list of people interested in this, and a list of places to dine at. Please take this seriously as it is not for flakers, we will need reservations at quite a few of these places. Expect to pay anywhere from $15 to $50 for a meal. Feel free to mention restaurants, even link to a review of the place on citypages.com or something.

I'd be down, but saturdays and sundays would only work for me. I work until 10pm m-f.

We can alternate days, doesn't always have to be one or the other. I'll update the list.

I think we should start with Fogo. Im sure other random people would come with if we planned a date.

Never been to Fogo, want to try it out. The other restaurants on the list sound good too.

I'd be willing to go to some of these places. It would depend on if they cater to people with food allergies like me.

Fogo is good, I especially like their lamb.

For dinner, it's not too bad considering the level of service. Look to pay about $46 + $15 for wine.

From my experience it seems that higher end establishments cater to people such as yourself. A place like Fogo is basically all meat with a salad bar (but you're foolish to waste precious stomach space on it) so you should be alright.

If I recall correctly Fogo was $50 a person, then I had a beer so in total it was just around $60.

I stopped going to nice places when I became single way back when, and it would be nice to enjoy some quality food again every once in a while. Count me in.

Sounds fun, not sure I can completely commit to everytime though :(

We do know one of the yellow waitresses at Fogo though. We mentioned somethig to her about if we went there, but she only deals with parties of maybe 5-10 people.

This sounds like a cool idea. I don't know if we would ever be able to make it to any, but we might hit one or two up when schedules permit.

BTW, a place to hit on any saturday night would be Tinucci's in Newport ( www.tinuccis.com ). They have their prime rib buffet that is just amazing! It's about $25 a person for the buffet or you can order off of the menu. The prime rib is so tender and juicy! They hack off a slice for you that is about an inch or so thick and about 8-10" long by about 3-4" wide. It just melts in your mouth! It's located across the tracks from the old park and ride (that has since been torn down) on Hwy 61 in Newport where we used to hang out before going down to Red Rock.

Hell, there was even a scene from Fargo taped down there!
