My 2005 CTS-V

Since I sold the Talon, I ordered up a few parts and will be getting the V dyno tuned on May 19th. I bought the car in July 2009, and I haven't done anything power-wise since then. Last Monday I went up to DB and had Shane install HPTuners and switched over to e85, and these are the other mods I'm doing:

Overdrive crank pulley
Smaller boost pulley
Ford GT fuel pump

It came with a Magnuson supercharger kit which included a boost-a-pump, 60# injectors, and it's running at 6psi right now. The car also has kooks headers and a corsa catback. The overdrive crank pulley and smaller boost pulley should put it right around 9-10psi I think, I'll know for sure on the dyno. Car made 417hp and about 420tq on a dynojet before I purchased it.

Here are a couple pics of the new parts, the crank pulley is a really nice piece:

I'll post up install pictures in the coming days before the tune.

Wow, those pulleys do look nice, that boost pulley looks stupid small. I say 2.5" should be next.

Wow, that'll be faster than Martin's. That was a scary ride in the passenger seat.

Nice. I have thought about doing a few mods to my E55, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Parts are pretty expensive as well. Not sure what the parts run on your car, but to give you an idea, headers cost over $3,000 for mine.

Should be a fun car when it is done.

Parts look nice, should be a hella fun ride. Are you doing the lightened flywheel mod too, or did you already do that?? Can't remember if you said you did, just remember you talking about the gains from it.

Re: My 2005 CTS-V

I'm hoping for low 500s with these mods and a tune. Haven't done the clutch/flywheel yet, that should free up over 20hp alone, maybe next year.

Another guy with similar mods made 430whp on pump @ 6psi which is normal when tuned, and made 485 when he switched to e85 with no other mods. So I think the extra 3-4psi should be good to get me over 500.

Switching to e85 has already solved so many driveability issues, the old tune was so crappy, running ultra rich. I would get 18-19mpg highway before, now on e85 and correct fueling I'm getting over 20mpg which is awesome.
