Just trying to make good of a bad situation.

Officers were on a power trip. Either that or they felt they were in danger from a guy waterboarding in shorts on the streets.

If they felt they were in danger they wouldn't have handcuffed them. They would have told them to leave and not let it happen again.

The only issue I could see here would be making a wake or waves that could hit the buildings in the back ground and possibly cause more damage. Also add in the fact that if somebody got injured there would be lawsuits, etc.

But handcuffing the kids was a little overboard.

We went couch sledding last winter in a warehouse district at like midnight one night. After we were finished up, my buddy was pulling the couch around the building to drop it off and a cop stopped him. He ended up getting a careless driving ticket. I guess the moral of the story is we should just sit inside and get drunk like regular college students. grrr

there is something that we don't know whats going on. Why would police come out of no where and handcuff these guys. Plus look at what the police are wearing. It is not the normal uniform.. it is a little extreme. Usually flood areas are restricted because of looting and other problems. This area was policed probably for a reason.

Police are getting a hard time around here. They have a tough job. Give them a break. Those kids knew that they were going to get in trouble.

WOWWW! being hancuffed for having fun! Okay wtf! Those police officers are ass hats! I would citizen arrest them right back for wrongful arrest.. But that would never happen :/

Serve and protect, ha, more like harrass and write tickets!
