Tried spectator drags in the galant
 

Went well, lost in the final round. I need to square away my throttle body, my homemade fiav delete plate is leaking like a sieve. The car was knocking like a mofo. I should have changed the tire pressures and took some spring out of the coilovers on the LF and RR, the car didn't want to turn at all.

Still had a great time though, launching never gets old. At least when everything holds together. :P

From the looks of that video you had him beat hands down. You should've taken away his inside line once you hole shottied him.


BTW, That Camaro is running 275 Nitto DR's on all four corners.

That camaro won at elko this weekend to, he beat out a brand new rousch mustang. It was pretty quick to bad you didn't beat him. He needed to be taken down a notch or 2.

I was digging through your youtube videos and found the video from the night you won at Elko (May of 08 I think). We were there that night. I had some idiots behind talkin smack about your car when you pulled up to the line the first time. I then heard you spooling up and told them, "Watch this!" You took off like a shot and I never heard another word about "stupid import cars" again from them. That was a fun night!

I thought about calling you but it was a spur of the moment decision to go out there. I didn't want to break in front of anyone I knew either, so I didn't tell anyone. I wasn't planning on racing again, but if you went I'd tag along. It'd be fun to run you.

Yeah, I saw that that camaro was running those dot slicks. My tired 215 rt615s weren't really any competition in the corners. Oh well, I had fun and beat him once so I'm happy.

Everyone else who's thinking about going should. It's $100 to win and $50 for second. If my busted ass car with a simple 16g setup can do that, there's plenty of guys way faster than that could clean up. It's almost free money.

I've been trying to get a Mitsustyle group out there for years. If we could get 10-20 cars together they would probably let us run our own group for bragging rights. Alot less of a chance of getting hit when you're running people you know.

I heard something about Raceway thinking of doing a points system for spectators, and having a $3-4K purse for the championship. Things will get messy if that happens :lol:

DSM/GVR4/Evo's should dominate Raceway. It so much flatter and tighter than Elko. Whoever has the Inside line has one hell of an advantage but it's hard for the high HP RWDs to hook up.

Here's my old setup with a smoked ACT2100 from the 2008 championship at Raceway.

i seriously wouldn't mind doing spectator drags. looks fun.
