AMS Drag car in Texas Mile update
 

One of my buddies is down in Texas at the Texas mile where AMS has their drag car there. An update he sent me is that they went 222mph with it. It doesnt look like they will be doing anymore runs with it though because as you can see in this picture that he sent me, the #3 rod let loose and the car started on fire.

What was your friend driving? I saw a few MN plates there.

I am pretty sure they flew down there. I heard the fastest time was 226 from AMS too but not sure what the official speed was. How was it Aaron?

It was amazing, I'm going thru a couple hundred pics (I only took 100 max).
The mile is completely different from anything else I heard 228 on that broken pass he said he thought he would of been about 235ish, 232 for sure on that pass.
I forgot to find out what they changed for the mile because I am interested.

wow, that's a fast car. Shitty about the fire, but that's what happens when you throw hot oil all over a hot engine bay.
