Need help! Fuel issues/no start
 

Hey guys,

Looking to see if anyone has had a similar problem. I'm trying to sort it our quickly. The car has been running fine, then last night it sputtered out and died at a stop light. No CEL before hand, pops with starting fluid so it seems to be some kind of fuel issue. After sitting for five minutes it revs up once and girgles out again.

It at my shop and a tech is looking at it, but the sooner I can nip this in the but the better.

Anybody had a similar issue? Crank sensor? Fuel Pump relay? (I couldnt figure out which one it was in the dark last night).

What kind of car, miles, mods, any previous issues? I am guessing its an Evo based on your avatar. I would check for spark, fuel pressure and compression. Hook up a obd2 scanner and see if something show up in that. Is it full of gas? Check the timing belt.

No CEL's, no fuel pressure. No power at the primary pump. Chasing what fuse/relay/short might be causing it now :(

2006 Evo with only and engine flash and exhaust.

I dont know if this helps but on our 1g cars, the cam angle sensor tells the ecu to go ahead and trigger the fuel pump relay. Maybe hook a computer up to it and see if you are getting an engine speed signal?
