Hit the dyno at DB today....
2 Attachment(s)
Got the car converted to E85 over the winter and had Shane re-tune it today. The car orginally made 513 at MAP on pump/meth mix last fall and since then I took out the Meth, went to 6an feed line and modded return line, added a Bosch 044 inline and swapped out to 1450 Bluemax injectors. Also had MAP ceramic coat the hot parts. The max run we did was only about 32 psi as the car was starting to push a little bit of coolant. Managed to just break 500 whp ( 583 whp converted ). Was pretty happy with the results, but I need to upgrade to some L19 studs and I need to work on my crankcase ventilation a bit.
- Big thanks to Shane for getting me in on such short notice! |

congrats man, nice numbers

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Badass! Can you post a basic mod list? Fantastic numbers. Get some L19s in that thing and come on the cruise!

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Nice engine bay and plenty of power!
|
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Nice car! It should have more power in it once you get the head to stay down. You should be able to run 10s with it once it's all hammered out, if it doesn't already.

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Relatively similar to my car, but is your motor a 2.0 or 2.4?
|
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
It's still a 2.0

Nice numbers!
1g 7 bolt head or a 2g 7 bolt head? |
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
It's a 2G 7 bolt. Thanks for the compliments, I am pretty happy with where the car is at, but I still want to see just how much I can squeeze out of this 35R. With the small hotside alot of people have said that it will choke you up top pretty good, but from what we were seeing there is plenty left in it... plus can't complain about 30+ psi at 4400 rpm. I am trying to have the car ready for the cruise, but it's a DSM so we will see :)

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Well don't be too concerned about running 40psi on the cruise, most of what we do will be easy driving, twisties, and group stuff. There will be plenty of WOT, but you sure don't wanna blow it up while you're out where we're going!

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Plus scheides wouldnt like getting destroyed, hahaha.
Some other guy is making pretty similar numbers to you with a similar setup he is on tuners I think. I think he was 550ish on a mustang dyno. |
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
It's quite a nice car, and I'm happy to have played a role in installing parts on it. Good, clean setup.
|
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
It's real similar to my old setup as well. 20AWHP less on DB's dyno but mine was a 2.4 which makes the numbers about equal. Nice streetable setup that'll win most matchups.

Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
The set up is a blast on the street, but I have a feeling I am going to have to do a cage shortly. I plan on squeezing a little more out of this set up and then probably gonna switch it over to an HTA35R with the .82 hotside and see how far the fuel system can go ....
|
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Hta82 or hta86?
Either should be good for ya! |
Re: Hit the dyno at DB today....
Will probably go with the 86. Below is a link to quick video I did of both dyno runs.... not great quality, but getting there.
