amish wtf?
 

well today i was driving home from work and it was super foggy out. i stop at a stop light waiting to turn left on green and out of nowhere this old amish guy starts walkin up on me. i thought it was a little awkward but figured hey he looks nice so i turn my music down and roll down my window. in very broken english he asked where the mayo clinic was. so i kinda told him where to go but we were in the wrong turn lane to go there.

anybody else have weird stuff like this happen to them?

Sure he was amish? Was probably jewish or greek. Amish speak english. :)

haha well he looked like it but yeah he coulda been jewish too. but its just weird haveing anyone walk up on you at a stop light.

Many traditional amish speak Pennsylvania dutch. We get some really way out there people coming to mayo. the amish around here do lots of things. i see them at walmart and menards all the time. even saw a father and son picking out a cordless drill. now that hat me WTF.

A few months back I was getting off 494 at Carlson Parkway at like 2am and a dude started walking toward me from the opposite side of the intersection at a fairly brisk pace. The light changed when he was halfway across and I just took off. I'm not rolling my window down for anybody at that time of night. When I looked in my rear view he was running back to where he was initially standing. Kinda weird if you ask me.

the ahmish people here are not your typical ahmish people. i saw a huge group of them in a giant van come into tacohut the other day.

and damn spaz. sounds sketchy, i woulda done the same thing. that sounds like some crack head trying to rob you.

the worst is when i worked in the portrait studio they would come in with their entire family of 25 and want to spend $10

Amish do use hospitals and doctors.

Amish first language is German, with English being a second language.
